Ugly Architecture

In my opinion, the Union is a fairly unattractive building. In particular, all of the concrete elements associated with it. After eating lunch I walked out of the Terrace Cafe I took one of the staircases to the basement level. This particular staircase was mainly constructed of the roughly textured concrete that forms many of the building's supports. The florescent lighting in the stairwell didn't make it look any better. It gave it a nice depth, but the texture looked horrible.
