Winterdances: Another Observation

During one of the dance numbers two large projection screens were set up on stage. They provided a canvas for video projections that aided in the telling of a story. But they were more than that. For the majority of the number the dancers performed behind the screens while the were lit from behind. It reminded me of a performance that I saw in Paris. In that performance the actors recreated a battle sequence from behind the curtain. The dance performance was much more graceful and fluid.
